♦ Multimedia projector &
laptop: involves pictures of different
types of crops so that children can identify the root crops.
♦ Non-projected Interactive
Media: Play game of sheared. Students will form groups use Bristol board and
markers to draw pictures of root crops for the other group to try and identify.
♦ Power Point Instructional
Project: Use power point presentation as
to introduce the lesson and as a review
pictures of root crops and their uses.
Utilize Media, Materials & Methods:
♦ Collect and setup
equipment and ensure it is working
♦ Begin lesson on root crops by showing Power Point with pictures.
Allow children a chance to describe and name the root crops in the pictures
then explain what root crops can be used for.
♦ Students will draw pictures
of crops using Bristol board and
markers.
♦ Use multimedia projector
and laptop computer to give definitions and show pictures of crops.
♦ Students will form themselves in groups as the play a game of
sheared drawing on the Bristol board and allowing the other group to guess the
name of the root crop and what it is used for.
Required Learner Participation:
♦ Each student will be
graded on his/her participation and how well they interact in their group.
♦ Pupils will randomly be
called on to answer questions on root crops.
♦ Each group will evaluate the other groups work. (Teacher will
observe all members of the groups.)
♦Students will go into the garden, identify the root crops that are
ready to be reaped and harvest them. (Teacher will supervise this activity).
Evaluate and Revise:

Evaluate students performance through quizzes (verbal and oral)
